DESCRIPTION: EXTRA ILLUSTRATED. 10 vols., 6-11/16" x 4-3/8", extra illustrated with the insertion of 94 portraits and 7 views, additional engraved title-page and frontis in each volume. Bound in full tan calf, ribbed gilt decorated spines, three gilt lettered brown morocco spine labels, covers triple ruled in gilt, gilt dentelles, top edges gilt, by Root & Son.
CONDITION: Inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spines fine, small circular stain about 1/2 of a quarter to the foredge of the rear cover of volume 4, mild general handling, internally clean and bright, still a VERY GOOD set.
