Specializing in modern and contemporary art, Gagosian Gallery maintains a distinguished historical program and a roster of the world’s most acclaimed living artists.
John Elderfield, a Consultant at Gagosian Gallery, is Chief Curator Emeritus of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, where he directed numerous celebrated exhibitions, among them Kurt Schwitters, Henri Matisse: A Retrospective, and De Kooning: A Retrospective, and the more specialized Manet and the Execution of Maximilian and Matisse: Radical Invention, 1913–1917.
