About the Item
This antique pairing of a yellow 14-karat gold necklace and brooch are presumed to have been made in the United States in circa 1910 in the period Edwardian style. Both pieces are composed of 14-karat yellow gold, amethyst prong set stones and accented with seed pearls. The necklace is done in a spray of prong and bezel set cabochon and marquis cut amethyst stones with small gold flowers accented with seed pearls. The brooch features one central prong set amethyst stone, surrounded by seed pearls and accented by gold swirls on either side accented with seed pearls. Both pieces are clearly marked "14k" on the back.
