Turquoise cuff on sphalerite with garnet The arrow-like shape of a piece of sky-blue turquoise sets the tone for Studio Greytak’s Turquoise Cuff on Sphalerite with Garnet. Beside the powerful warrior stone, turquoise, sit iridescent ammolite and a trail of round, red garnet. Together, they point toward a glittering sunstone, the gem Vikings relied on to navigate through stormy weather. Mozambique garnet glows from above, an eternal beacon of hope. Fiery opal, steady tourmaline, and another garnet guide the cuff to rest on the stand. At the base, Sphalerite in rare crystal form glows from a chalcedony matrix, serving as a reminder to trust one’s intuition and seek the truth. Turquoise is universally renowned for its protective and healing powers. It is said to change color to warn its wearer of impending illness or danger. It is a holy stone, capable of bringing good fortune and wisdom. This powerful guardian should be kept where one can feel its strengthening energy and heed its cautionary signals. Garnet is a banked fire, burning steadily but under control. These sensual stones represent the primordial fire from which the world was created. In turn, red garnet makes the products of creative imagination manifest in the real world. Regenerative energy flows, strengthening and protecting the spirit and bringing hope to souls in darkness. Iridescent ammolites were formed when the fossils of ancient cephalopods from prehistoric inland tropical seas combined with aragonite and turned into gemstones. Reminiscent of the golden spiral, a key part of sacred geometry, ammolites are said to hold the energies and vibrations of the universe. They bring personal awakening, prosperity, and luck. Ancient societies believed sunstones were actually pieces of the sun fallen to the earth in a solar eclipse. They used stone’s powers to bring physical energy, passion, courage, and joy to the beholder. Especially useful in times of stress or ill health, sunstone can increase one’s vitality and bring a sense of focus. Holding the cuff is a base of sphalerite in a chalcedony matrix. These rare, fine crystals are prized by collectors for their exceptional fire, more noticeable even than a diamond’s. They separate dreams from reality and boost intuition. Keep sphalerite nearby to stay grounded in the real world without losing sight of your dreams. At its heart, chalcedony is a contemplative gem, encouraging one to turn inward and reconnect with the spiritual center. This deeply calming stone harmonizes the mind, body, and emotions and calms the spiritual waters. Together these stones help you find and stay in your truth. At the top of the base, three colorful gems shine when the cuff is being worn. Another bright red garnet sits next to two gems associated with rainbows. Ancient Egyptians believed that tourmaline broke through a rainbow as it emerged from the earth, splitting into gems of all shades. And, according to Australian Aboriginal legend, opals were formed when the creator came down to Earth on a rainbow to bring a message of peace. Tourmaline brings a compelling, magnetic, and playful energy while opals heal broken hearts, restore inner harmony and bring eternal hope. Wear this piece as a metaphysical compass oriented to the soul’s true north. This cuff fits a medium to large size wrist. The inside circumference is 5.75”. The opening is 1.5”. Materials: Turquoise Sphalerite Ammolite Sunstone Mozambique garnet Opal Tourmaline Chalcedony.
