Victorian brooch in gold and garnets, Austria 1870.
About the Item
The brooch is made of 14 Kt gold, up of a knot of racemes, two leaves, and two fruits arranged symmetrically in a mirrored knot. The body of the raceme is entirely chiseled with spiral decoration, the leaves finished as a burin. The two oval garnets have a cabochon shape and are caged in a plain setting. Austria circa 1870.
