Vintage Moroccan Silver Fibula Collectible Ethnic Jewelry Talisman. Circa 1960's. Beautiful vintage Moroccan fibula. Nice Folk Art. A fibula was used to close a woman's cape and used as a status symbol. Ethnic Berber jewelry from the high Atlas of Morocco, also used to carry as a Talisman for good luck and to push away the Evil Eye. Hand- made of Moroccan coin silver ( not sterling) and adorned with pink glass enameled beads. A vintage Moroccan fibula is an exquisite piece of jewelry with a rich cultural and historical significance. The fibula is a traditional decorative brooch or pin that has been used for centuries in Morocco and various parts of North Africa, Maghreb. Vintage Moroccan fibula crafted from coin silver, embellished with gemstones and enamel work. Nice large shape this Moroccan fibula feature intricate and ornate patterns, inspired by traditional Berber and Moorish motifs include geometric shapes, and Berber symbols representing the cultural heritage of Morocco. Handmade with filigree work, engraving, and stone overlaid. The Moroccan fibula is traditionally worn by Berber women as a decorative accessory and as a symbol of identity and heritage.
