Russian Gardner Porcelain Chess Set

About the Item

Francis Gardner porcelain chess set A Russian chess set in Caricature, representing the Czarist Army, 1970s. Made by the Porcelain factory "Gardner", founded by the Englishman in 1766, a banker named Francis Gardner, established in Verbilki near Moscow. The chess piece king is 8,5 cm (3.3 Inch) high. The chessboard is made of wood , which is not the original chess board and shows some very small traces of use. (bottom) The chessboard measures 50,5 cm (19.9 Inch) . The porcelain chess set weights 160 grams and the wooden chess board weights 2475 grams. The total weight is 4135 grams.
