16th Century Plague Helmet, One of a Kind Museum Display Model

After 100's of years it's understandable that here are only 5 of original black plague helmets still in existence. All are now in Museums... but there are more museums out there than original helmets. The example pictured was a hand-made replica commissioned for display in a now closed French medical museum. We acquired it from an important collection in Germany. It's a copy of the original in the OG in Ingolstadt, Germany. The last picture we posted is of the original helmet for reference. It's interesting that they faithfully replicated the original iron display stand.
