1930 Royal Automobile Club Associate British Enameled Radiator Cap Car Badge

About the Item

This Royal Automobile Club Associate car badge was made by the Patent Die Assoc. Co. of London in presumably 1929 in London England in the period Art Deco style. The badge is composed of cast metal which has an enamel Union Jack in the center area or hub cap of the spoked wheel, partially covered by a wreath and being held up by a male figure with a Royal Crown on the top. The member number is on the bottom bordered panel and on the back in impressed letters reads "Property of RAC" for the Royal Automobile Club and the maker noted above at the bottom. This badge which was intended as a radiator cap topper has been mounted on a round piece of white marble.
