Early 20th century Raleigh Bicycles shop advertising figure
We share what we love, and we love this early 20th century charming Raleigh bicycles shop advertising figure. Made from wood and plaster with hand painted detail, in the form of Sir Walter Raleigh. The figures sword is made from metal and removable; one arm is movable up and down. In its original factory hand painted colour, a real collector’s piece of advertising history.
Size of inches: H 24” x W 17” x D 16”
Completely solid in structure and form, with natural wear and patination across all surfaces due to age and use, the paint is worn and faded which we feel adds to the charm. With light scuff, chips and dents to the plaster surface as shown in the photos provided. An aged object so please expect this in the overall condition.
