About the Item

Rare miniature Art Deco furniture with 'marbled' tops. Good things come in small packages and this set also fits that bill. This three-piece bedroom furniture set was made in the 1920s and the size, shape and color really bring a smile to your face. It is the cuteness, the quality and the uniqueness that make them a joy to own and look at. The mirror is an original antique mirror and both the top of the washstand and the top of the nightstand are painted with a special technique. This technique roughly translates (or maybe it is the right word) as 'marbling'. There are only a few people in Holland who still master this technique. Only if you know and only if you look from up close you will see that it is not real marble, that's how good the quality is. Also look at the original, small handles. They fit perfectly, they are all there and all drawers and doors still open and shut perfectly. Apart from some minor traces of old age and some spilled white paint on the side and front of the wardrobe (image 8) this set is in very good condition.
