About the Item
Early 1900s; Unbranded
Early box springs were a pretty simple concept, lifting the mattress off the ground and providing additional support to settling and lumpy mattresses. What makes this salesman sample unique is the ability to adjust the "head" part to give shoulder and back support for someone bedridden or to provide extra room to someone too tall to fit in typical beds of the time.
