Armand Godard made many chryselephantine statuettes in bronze and ivory in the Art Deco style, especially for the foundry Edmond Etling. In the 1920s and 1930s, he exhibited in Paris in the salons of the Society of French Artists. During the 1937 Universal Exhibition in Paris, he showed a monumental statue 4.5 meters high and a patinated plaster sculpture.

Depicting a young girl dressed in a sailors outfit with a large floppy hat on a conch shell and originating from France. Beautifully hand painted with lovely coloring and attention to detail.
