English gilt carved wood and black lacquered harp with signed brass mounts, gilded floral swags, ram's head, and lyre carved motif. Sound board is stenciled with flanking figures terminating on a gilded hippo campus base with claw feet and the original eight brass pedals. Signed by maker with date, Sebastian Erards. No. 18 Great Marlborough Street , London. No. 818 . Erards was appointed by the royal family to create fine ornate harps . The piece is in excellent condition and is in working order. Signed and dated by maker 1805.
