About the Item

This Mid-Century era semi-hollow body teardrop guitar was made by EKO of Italy for VOX in approximately 1967 and done in the period style. The model is not indicated anywhere on the guitar, but we believe it is a Mark VI or possibly a Model V Special. This guitar has been completely restored, including cleaning and re-wiring of the unique dual unpotted pick ups, and the knobs and pots have been de-oxified. In addition, the metal pieces have been cleaned and polished as was all the wood and the guitar has been re-strung. This guitar is in good working playable condition, with some minor superficial veneer cracking on the outside of the plywood body, as presented in the posted photos, and consistent with age and use. y. We do have the original hard case, which is in poor condition as well as the original burgundy velvet strap and power cord. The dimensions posted refer to the case, and the actual dimensions of the guitar itself are: four inches deep, by twelve and a half inches wide and thirty inches tall.

Replacements made: The strings have been replaced. Rewired: The pickups have been re-wired and the pots have been deoxidized. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. The metal surfaces have been cleaned and polished and restored. The cap to the toggle switch has not been replaced. One small break to the veneer, and some lifting as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
