About the Item

Featured in the 1920 annual catalog of the American company Silvertone, this phonograph features a drop-leaf door with various moldings mounted on compasses. The resonator box, decorated with scrolls and leaves, is openwork on the front. When open, this phonograph features a 78 rpm turntable, covered in green felt, equipped with a Silvertone tonearm with needle headstock and a speed regulator. These records can be stored in three fixed, recessed chrome-plated metal containers. This vinyl turntable from another era will appeal to collectors and enthusiasts looking for authentic decorative objects. ******** Period: 1920 Excellent wood condition. Waxed finish on a hard base.
