Brass, Chrome and Teak Steering Column and Wheel, Norwegian, Midcentury

$4,300

About

A rare find, this Norwegian teak, brass and chrome steering column with teak ship's wheel. Midcentury. The 12" teak base has been added by us. The wheel features 8 spokes which joint to the center nave plate and hub. The brass cap on the king spoke handle (indicating a center rudder when steering through the night) may have been replaced, but great patina on the handles themselves. Great turning functionality. A true collectors item. The wheel's diameter is 32". Just the column measures 39". Overall height is 49".
