About the Item

A great collection of large, metal signal day buoys. These are a double-cone shape. Day buoys are used to signal valuable information about a ship during daylight hours and are generally black. These have been repainted. Each shape sends a message as to that ship's status during daylight hours. These are a great find as their shape and size and material are rare. Open rings on both ends. As of this writing, we have three of these. Two are red and white and one blue and white. Priced individually. Please reach out before placing any order to discuss preferred color and inventory status. The Lockhart Collection is a personally curated gallery of antiques and fine jewelry, owned and operated by Deborah Lockhart Phillips. The antiques and vintage pieces encompass Nautical Artifacts & Instruments, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern Furniture and Lighting, British Campaign furniture, and of course the finds that simply defy being categorized. The Lockhart Collection is a notable and trusted resource for many interior designers and movie production companies. An affinity for the sea, spirit of adventure, a discerning eye and a belief in keeping life interesting, informs her style and therefore the collection. Deborah sources quality, one-of-a-kind and distinguished pieces; found both domestically and abroad and has done so for over 30+ years. Located on Nantucket Island.
