Mid-Century Modern Ship's Aerovane and Anemometer

About

While actually a navigational instrument measuring wind speed and direction, in their decommissioned state these aerovanes and anemometers become unusual and kinetic sculptural artifacts. This is a smaller one, with a chrome base, stem and propeller and a repainted fiberglass tail. When found having been out at sea, they need some attention, and so now the metal is polished and the tail repainted, circa 1970s. These can be used inside or out. The body turns 360 degrees and the propeller spins. Old school instruments to be sure.
