Nautical Day Shape Metal Signal Buoy

About the Item

A ship's metal day shape signal buoy from the 1970's. This is a diamond shape with one end black and the other white. As most signal buoys are black, perhaps this indicates a cone shape which when mounted aloft the ship would indicate under sail or power. Rings on both ends. The Lockhart Collection is a personally curated gallery of antiques and fine jewelry, owned and operated by Deborah Lockhart Phillips. The antiques and vintage pieces encompass Nautical Artifacts & Instruments, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern Furniture and Lighting, British Campaign furniture, and of course the finds that simply defy being categorized. The Lockhart Collection is a notable and trusted resource for many interior designers and movie production companies. An affinity for the sea, spirit of adventure, a discerning eye and a belief in keeping life interesting, informs her style and therefore the collection. Deborah sources quality, one-of-a-kind and distinguished pieces; found both domestically and abroad and has done so for over 30+ years. Located on Nantucket Island.
