Rare Ship's Copper Shutter Signal Light with Fresnel Lens
About the Item
A rare ship's copper shutter signal light with a round Fresnel lens. The shutter on the side is used for transmitting Morse Code. The back has a door that gains access to the oil lamp and has a slide latch to stay closed. We also had it converted by adding an electrical bulb mounted above for modern use, while still retaining the oil lamp component. Dates to around the 1940's. A great collector's piece.
