About the Item
Early twentieth century yacht binnacle from T.S and J.D. Negus of New York. Negus were famous ships chandlers located at South Street Seaport in New York. With gimballed compass from E.S. Ritchie Boston, serial number 82885. Highly polished and lacquered. Mounted to a binnacle base with rope carved apron at square base. Awesome maritime relic. 36"H x 12"W x 12"D 29 lbs.
