18th Italian Baroque carved rock crystal crucifix with silver Corpus of Christ flaked by male and female attendants on either side. The stepped base decorated with silver mounts resting on ball feet. A lovely piece made for private devotion.

These hand-wrought bosses and nails show incredible workmanship. These would have been used to decorate - and to structurally hold together an early chest or casket. The four geometric bosses beautifully made, eight ounces each without the nail! The nails are works of art in themselves, with their heavy geometric heads.
