About the Item
An early 18th Century Italian Baroque Kneeler or kneeling stool in walnut.
This rare antique from a church has a drawer as well as a door with a shelf inside. In the interior of this piece, the bible or other catholic religious items were kept. This provincial "Prie-Dieu" (in French "Pray God") still has the original wooden handle and the hand forged decorative irons that holds the door. This antique prayer stool can be used as decorative storage, a little cupboard in a hall or living room as well as for daily devotions in a bedroom or an office. This cupboard is certainly a versatile piece.
With old patina, this decorative antique piece of furniture is worn due to use and old age. Please see descriptions conditions below.
