19th Century hand crafted model of a church altar diorama
An important 19th Century paper over pine model of an altar. Covered in gold leaf paper decoration with angels at the crown, central columns, silk alter steps, central arch stating S. Annae Valentin surrounded by gold and silver metal wire detail. A stunning decorative religious object and an important piece as its stamped in wax with numerous crests. Encased in a 19th century pine box with its original sliding front glass this present.

This item is completely solid in form yet very fragile, encased behind the glass it has been kept safe for many years. The pine box it is encased in is worn, faded and has loss to the patterned paper detail edge. The reverse stamped wax crests are missing some detail as shown. The model itself is aged well and with faded colour and frayed paper including its gold detail.
