About the Item
This charming antique candlestick putti carving was crafted in Italy, circa 1880. The hand carved figure depicts a flying winged cupid holding a torch candle holder; the sculpture features its original polychrome and gold leaf finish for a luxurious result. The carved cherub is expressive in his movement and features wonderful facial expressions. The religious wall cherub ornament is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original patinated polychromed and painted finish. The colorful sculpture would make a charming addition to a living room or study in your home.
