19th Century Mexican Folk Art Retablo on Metal of the Holy Family

About

This is a stunning Mexican folk art retablo dating to the late 19th century. This retablo features oil paint on a sheet of tin and depicts a portrait of baby Jesus holding hands with his parents Mary and Joseph while God peeks down from the clouds above. This piece is rendered with what were once bright colors and is made in the manner of Spanish colonial paintings. The work is presented unframed.
