Over the years we have sold many ecclesiastical antiques, but you hardly ever find them as original and beautiful as this bronze and brass Art Deco specimen from the earliest years of the 20th century. The handcrafted and gilt bronze base with the stylized grape leaf patterns and grape bunches (symbolizing the blood of Christ) is as perfect as the day this bible stand was handcrafted all those years ago. Thanks to its perfect bronze base this church relic also is as strong and stable as the day it left the artisan's studio. Because of its size, strength and weight, this bronze Art Deco holybook stand will easily take an antique bible. Although in this day and age an antique like this also is ideal for having another special book on display in a gallery or studio setting. This unique bible stand with its engraved and stylized, early Art Deco cross will look divine on a church altar, in a monastery, but also in a private Art Deco or even in a more contemporary interior.
