19th Century Plaster Phrenology Bust by Vago of London, 1869

About the Item

A tactile plaster cast phrenology head, primitively produced yet highly decorative and a obvious rare survivor. A inscribed label of the maker Vago along with the date 1869 A handful of the original paper labels have gone astray over the years, the labels detailing the areas like moral sentiment, hope among others. In overall good condition, some elderly repairs with some surface abrasions and withs its original treacle coloured finish. Measures: 9cm in depth 6.5cm in width 15.5cm in height.
