About An original Premo long focus folding camera with a brass and leather strap, Mahogany case and Mahogany front. Camera folds open and closes properly. Camera is sold for decorative purposes only. Creator Rochester Optical Co. Date of manufacture c.1890 Materials and techniques leather, mahogany, optical glass. Condition good. Wear consistent with age and use. Bellows have some breaks. Missing small piece of wood on the side. Dimensions: H 7 in. x W 9.25 in. x D 12 in. History The Rochester Optical Company became one of the most dominant and influential camera companies in the 1880's and 1890's, prior to the rise of the Eastman Kodak Company.
