Denver Colorado D C Woodend, 1885 Table Top Geology Mineral Specimen Chest

A charming and untouched table top collectors chest, oversailing rectangular top above two short and three long graduated glazed collector's drawers, each enclosing a arrangement of geological and mineral samples, turned ebonised handles and a shapely apron. The piece has age related wear as one would expect, all the minerals are secure and sit within their original sections, along with labels. All the glazed sections are in good order no cracks or chips. The makers label is visible on the inside of one draw, slightly worn but reads D.C. Woodend of 260 Park Street in Denver Colorado, the label coincides with the period 1885-1887. Measures: 36cm in width 36.5cm in height 23cm in depth.
