English George III Mahogany Barometer by C. Cusack, Southampton

George III period barometer with thermometer, housed in a finely shaped mahogany case with satinwood and inlaid shell motifs. The silvered dial is engraved “C. Cusack, Southampton” and features classic weather notations from “Stormy” to “Very Dry.” A broken architectural pediment crowns the piece, and the original spirit thermometer is still present. Decorative and functional, this late 18th to early 19th century instrument blends scientific heritage with fine English craftsmanship.
