Probably Irish given the carved shamrock, with hinged top and robust leaf like carving. A small chip to bottom of toe and two small holes on the bottom likely from former mounting.

The oak box with brass Royal Georgian plaque on top, pick up times on the front. The brass lock and key affixed to the door.

The etui painted decoration depicting Putti at play with grissaille decoration, with an 2 engine turned gilt bronze bands at join.
