Antique British Hong Kong Wicker & Leather Fishing Creel or Basket with Straps
About the Item
This large antique fishing creel or basket is unsigned with respect to the maker, but originated from the British Hong Kong and dates to approximately 1920. The basket is composed of wicker with leather edging and supports and handle and is complete with its original leather shoulder straps. the bsket is clearly stamped "Made in British Hong Kong" on the front of the lid and has a one foot ruler stamped above it. Please note the posted dimensions refer to the basket itself and the creel height when hanging measures approximately twenty six inches.
