About the Item
Tennis-themed Lemonade Jug.
A rare "Denby" pottery tennis themed lemonade jug. The tennis ceramic has an applied panel decorated, in relief, with two crossed lawn tennis rackets, three balls and a lawn tennis net with posts and guy ropes. The handle also has in relief a vine leaf and grapes design applied. The main body of the jug is pale brown with a treacle brown glaze to the top half. The rim has been repair at some time.
