About the Item
An antique wooden Wright & Ditson The Hub tennis racket and yellow and green hand-embroidered racket cover. This tennis racket is unique in that it is marked with the owner's name on a metal plaque with the year. "Harley O. Thomas, 1918". The racket is by Wright & Ditson and is created from wood, with leather details. The racket itself is unusable as it will need to be restrung. However, it will be fabulous for display on a wall. The racket is covered in a hand-embroidered racket cover. The background of one side of the cover is yellow, with "Susie" embroidered in green yarn. A fabulous addition to any tennis lover's home or pied-à-terre.
