19th Century Porcelain Huqqa with Bird Paintings

About the Item

This huqqa (or hookah) is a wonderful item which is crafted from porcelain and finely hand painted and parcel gilt. The huqqa was created in the late 19th century, most likely in Russia. The huqqa features a cup-shaped bowl which is set on a knopped and slightly flared stem. This stem is placed on cylindrical, ribbed neck on a bell-shaped base. This huqqa is crafted from white porcelain and is covered with intricate, multicolored paintings of flowers, plants and birds.
