Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver and Enamel Vesta Case

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver and enamel vesta case; an addition to our enamel and silverware collection. This antique Edwardian sterling silver vesta case has a plain rectangular rounded form. The anterior surface is embellished with a central oval enamel design depicting a luxurious early 20th century touring car, with a driver and two passengers; the vehicle is displayed on a road within a simplified rural scene. The posterior surface of this antique vesta case is plain and unembellished. This fine sterling silver vesta case has a hinged hallmarked cover which incorporates a plain thumbpiece to the anterior edge and is surmounted with a hallmarked ring loop attachment. There is an integrated serrated panel/match striker to the underside. Condition This antique silver vesta case with enamel is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The enamel is in perfect condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the sleeve, in addition to part hallmarks to the ring loop attachment and interior of the cover are all very clear.
