The Avedon Lighter was originally designed in 1942 by Harvey Avedon as a personal gift for his fiancée, Drusilla. Following the closure of Strikalite, Ltd., Harvey Avedon transitioned into fine jewelry and luxury goods, producing both pocket and tabletop lighters in sterling silver and 14k gold .
This sterling silver version exemplifies the mid-century modern aesthetic, with sleek, clean lines and a refined silhouette. A true collector's piece, it captures the elegance and innovation of postwar American design.
