Georgian Palladian Painted Birdhouse
About the Item
Most unusual Early 19th Century painted wood and tole birdhouse in the form of a Palladian villa, the lattice work top over five story arched and arcaded facade, each "window" with pilasters and keystone adorned arch, the center bow fronted tole balcony hinged for front access, the plinth base with pull out tray, the sides comprising two half length doors, the whole in original brickwork, spotted and quoin paint decoration. Pegged construction throughout.
