An original pair of bronze and copper plate Art Deco Trojan horse bookends. Both bookends have bronze plaques attached "Golden Gate International Exposition World's Fair San Francisco in 1939". Original stickers and felt.

HISTORY
Dodge Inc. began in Chicago in the mid 1920s by Ray E. Dodge, a former track star in the 1924 Olympics. In 1930 he moved the company to Los Angeles to begin making Oscars for Hollywood's Academy Awards and in 1949 began producing Hollywood's Emmys.
The World’s Fair of 1939-40 in San Fransisco, California showcased the technological advancements of the western United States. The event allowed California to flaunt its new bridges: the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge.
