Striking and Hand Carved Art Deco Athletic Nude Male and Rock Sculpture Bookends

Impressive and stylized strongman bookends, hand carved out of one block of wood.
The artist who made these abstract and wonderful bookends has perfectly captured the natural posture of a man pushing his back against an object. The stylized exaggeration of the nude male's muscular body makes that sculpture extra impressive. On the other bookend, there is the opposite of a strong object of Mother Nature. Obviously it costs the rock no energy at all to accomplish the exact same result, namely, keeping your books standing upright. We have once before owned and sold a pair of bookends by the same sculptor and although this pair is signed, we still can't find out who the artist behind this unique and stunning style is. You will also seldomly come across an abstract work of art of such good quality and condition, because both these sculptural and meaningful bookends simply could not be in better condition. This rare and sizable pair will look great on your desk, side table, in your bookcase or wherever you prefer to put them on display.
