Near Antique Hand Carved Wooden Don Quixote and Sancho Panza Sculpture Bookends
Located in Lisse, NL
Rare, very well carved and mint condition, famous novel bookends. If you are looking for a pair of decorative, practical and very well crafted bookends then this rare pair could be gracing your home or office soon. The taller and slimmer figure obviously is Don Quixote. Here he is sitting on a log of wood, holding a book and orating. He is in excellent condition, skillfully hand carved and a joy to look at from all angles. The heavier set gentleman of the two is of course Sancho Panza. He too is beautifully carved and as good as new, but he may be a little tired of listening to his traveling companion. Both their body postures are very well designed and carved and the ebonized base makes these lighter colored wooden sculptures stand...
