Mid-Twentieth Century Illuminated Terrestrial Glass Globe by George F. Cram

About the Item

Electrified glass 10.5" Terrestrial Globe by George F. Cram Co (ca. 1951, Indianapolis, IN, USA). Composed of paper gores over glass with ocean finishes in an attractive aqua with bold accent hues representing continents / countries. Cast metal half-meridian with copper-finish mirroring the metal circular base. Year determination based on Korea (united), Israel and Pakistan all being present. Light soiling and wear present along with scuffs / tarnish to the copper-finish metal. Overall, very nice, vintage condition. Rewired and ready for immediate use, but retains the original on / off pull switch. Measures: H: 15" x D: 10.5" x L: 11.5".
