French 20th Century Oak Chair Ladder
About the Item
A metamorphic chair that converts to a ladder–or library steps–made in early 20th century France from oak. The chairback features gracefully curved stiles and a top rail above a flat seat. Releasing the metal latch on the legs, and turning the back legs forward, transforms the chair into a short stepladder to reach cabinets or bookshelves, although it would be an interesting display shelf on its own. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images.
