About the Item
On offer here is a beautiful Italian turned painted walnut wood circular step ladder. The staircase offers four stairs, each with a gold leaf decorated inlay of cognac-coloured sheepskin leather. The stairs are rolled around a turned central post embellished with a decorative finial. The walnut wood was painted in semi-gloss black, contrasting well with the leather inlay on the steps. The staircase was gently cleaned in our atelier and all joints were carefully checked and reinforced where needed. The piece is now clean, solid, and easy to use. The piece is relatively lightweight and can easily be moved around to gain access to higher parts. It is well suited for organizing books in an office or library, but may also come in handy in a kitchen.
