A Fabulous 19th Century Brass Fire Screen in the Rococo Manner

About the Item

A fabulous 19th Century polished brass fire screen in the Rococo manner, fully restored and of exceptional quality. The shaped and curved protective wire mesh is set within an intricately detailed cast brass frame with beautiful motifs comprising of foliate, ruffles, flowerheads, scrolling acanthus leaves, s and c scroll detail throughout, surmounted with an elegant pierced carrying handle with a further arrangement of ruffles, trailing foliate and c-scroll detail. The wire mesh itself is adorned to the central reserve with further decorative brass motifs comprising of a stunning arrangement of foliate, flowerheads, scrolls and ruffles, supported on elegant, pierced out-scrolling trestle foot.
