About

Major Felten (American 1904-1978) was a well known illustrator for many magazines and advertisements from the 1930's to 1950's period. His fascination with wild cats echoed in his works, and he is responsible for adding black panthers to the Art Deco vernacular. This impressive painted screen has even been reproduced into current art posters available at galleries and online. The imagery and color scheme is quite strong, and displays beautifully. The three panels are double hinged, allowing them to be folded in either direction.
