About the Item

A screen partition/ room-divider with three double-sided panels. In collaboration with the renowned Milan-based artist MarCo Petrus, Carlo Donati Studio introduces the new Shade Abstractions Room-Divider collection, first exhibited during the Milan Design Week, 2019. The panel’s geometric and chromatic patterns represent an abstract 3D interpretation of the P19 buildings just completed by Carlo Donati Studio in the city center of Milan. Hand painted by the artist MarCo Petrus, this room-divider is a handmade unique piece, with the possibility of other chromatic compositions. These contemporary room dividers/ screen partitions can be used to divide spaces or add intimacy whilst adding an elegant and timeless Italian style to any interior. Materials: Brass frame with hand painted wood panels by MarCo Petrus (available with other chromatic compositions) Alternative panel options: Printed on non-woven fabric, panels printed on wooden panels Prices excluding VAT (22%) if applicable. About the collection: The Shade Abstractions project is born from a collaboration between the architect Carlo Donati and the artist MarCo Petrus. The residential building P19 and the adjacent volume with the blades, just completed by Carlo Donati Studio, have become an inspiration to connect architecture, painting and design, in a sort of triptych of strongly linked elements. The broken lines and the chromatics of the two buildings have been translated in a pure composition of forms and colors through an abstraction process by the artist. The big site specific painting of Petrus in the hall of the new building and the capsule collection of room-dividers designed by Donati and decorated by the Milanese artist for the event, have been exhibited during the Milan Design Week 2019.
