Twelve Panel Chinese Coromandel Screen From Beverly Wilshire

About the Item

Early 20th century Chinese late Qing dynasty twelve panel lacquered coromandel screen. This grand screen features a landscape scene with pavilions and figures. Each panel measures 17.25 inches wide with thick lacquer. Intricately carved and incised with colored pigments and gilt. Lower border is decorated with "100 antiques" and upper border with scenic fans. Reverse side having a lovely floral and bird design in beautiful color tones. Provenance: Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Los Angeles. Each panel is 96"H x 17.25"W x 0.75"D.
